Since 2022, the Camozzi Group has been an official partner of Sauber Technologies, marking a significant return to Formula One®. Over just two years, the development lab at the Camozzi Research Centre (CRC) in Milan has created opportunities for knowledge sharing, particularly in the field of advanced materials, enhancing the expertise of their engineers. Today, Camozzi is proud to continue racing alongside Stake F1® Team KICK Sauber, and looks forward to pursuing technological excellence together.
Historic Partnership with Ayrton Senna and McLaren
The partnership’s roots trace back to 1993, when a relationship began with Ayrton Senna and McLaren. From this relationship, a lasting friendship between the Camozzi family and the Brazilian driver was born. Honoring this legacy, Camozzi Group proudly supports the FOREVER SENNA commemoration, prominently displaying the Camozzi logo on the McLaren MP4/8.
Sebastian Vettel’s Emotional Tribute at Imola
The four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel delivered a special and emotional demo run in one of Ayrton Senna’s old F1® cars ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. As tributes to Senna and Roland Ratzenberger continued at Imola, Vettel drove Senna’s 1993 McLaren MP4/8, the car in which Senna claimed the last of his 41 race wins. The moving scenes unfolded as Vettel toured the circuit, waved to fans, and held up Brazilian and Austrian flags. After completing a series of donuts, he parked on the start/finish straight and kneeled beside the car, paying a heartfelt tribute to the legendary driver.
