Imola, Italy - May 2025

During the Grand Prix of Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna, the Camozzi Group proudly celebrated one of Formula 1’s most iconic moments at the 2025 Historic F1 event. The occasion marked the 40th anniversary of Belgian driver Thierry Boutsen’s legendary second-place finish at the 1985 San Marino Grand Prix, where his determination and spirit left a lasting mark on motorsport history.

A Triumphant Return to Imola

In 1985, Camozzi stood alongside the Arrows team as an official partner, witnessing firsthand a race that would become a milestone in the F1 history. Boutsen, after running out of fuel on the final lap at the San Marino Grand Prix, pushed his Arrows A8-BMW across the finish line, securing second place in one of the sport’s most heroic acts.

That extraordinary moment was brought vividly back to life as Thierry Boutsen returned to the same circuit, once again taking the wheel of his restored Arrows A8-BMW. The event was made possible in collaboration with Parabolica Racing, specialists in the restoration and racing of historically significant cars.

A Fitting Tribute to Engineering Excellence

Throughout the three-day celebration, Camozzi hosted an exclusive experience within the historic paddock area, offering guests a curated tour of vintage racing icons and the chance to relive the golden era of Formula 1. A private meet-and-greet with Thierry Boutsen provided attendees with a personal connection to the legendary driver and the story behind the iconic 1985 race.

The Arrows A8-06, used by both Boutsen and Christian Danner, was showcased in its original B-specification, fully serviced and race-ready thanks to Parabolica Racing and CRCS.

Honoring Our Racing DNA

For Camozzi, this tribute was more than a celebration of the past — it was a reaffirmation of our deep and lasting partnership with motorsport, where innovation, precision, and human excellence coexist. Our involvement in this event reflects the same values we bring to industry: engineering performance, technical reliability, and passion for progress.

As we honored the legacy of Thierry Boutsen and the Arrows team, we also celebrated Camozzi’s own legacy: a story shaped by racing, driven by technology, and powered by enduring partnerships.
