In the recently concluded 2025 season, Camozzi Automation confirmed once again its role as a trusted technology partner of UniBo Motorsport, the University of Bologna team that brings together over 250 students from different faculties. These young engineers and innovators work side by side to design and build cutting-edge solutions for the world of motorsport.
The collaboration enabled Camozzi Automation’s technologies to be applied to real racing environments, showcased through the prototypes unveiled during the Unveiling 2025 event at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit in Imola. Three ambitious projects took the stage and later competed successfully in international Formula SAE and MotoStudent championships:
- Hybrid car - GENESI: the team’s first-ever hybrid prototype
- Electric car - ATHENA: the all-electric race car
- Moto elettrica - VEGA: the electric two-wheeler prototype
The Team also includes UniBoAT (University of Bologna Argonauts Team), which presented Futura, a new catamaran that made waves at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge.
TECHNOLOGICAL SPONSORSHIP
Camozzi Automation is proud to be part of this innovative university project, sharing its expertise and solutions, including:
- Adapters in 316L stainless steel - Series X2000 and Series X1000 (push-on): designed for industrial applications that demand durability, reliability, and resistance to high temperatures, corrosion, and contamination. These fittings are the perfect choice for Athena’s battery cooling system.
- Cylinders ISO 6432 with cushioning phase – Series 23: featuring a patented system that automatically adjusts cushioning to ensure optimal deceleration. Throughout the self-cushioning phase, the cylinder moves smoothly and without rebounds, reducing vibrations and noise while ensuring greater reliability and consistent performance over time. These cylinders enable the movement of the clutch-shift system in Genesi’s hybrid powertrain
- Fittings in technopolymer for water cooling applications - Series GRIPfit 7000 Fluidics: the push-in fittings of this series enable fluid transfer in cooling systems. The material resists water absorption, temperature variations, and the main chemicals contained in coolants. It also maintains dimensional stability when in contact with different fluids, making it perfect for Genesi’s braking system, which also incorporates the Series 2000 Brass pipe fittings and the Series 3 for the manual brake valve actuation.
- Flow control valve – Series RFU: the bidirectional flow regulation valve plays a key role in Genesi, ensuring an even more efficient gear-shifting system.
